Glacier Girl is starting the Touring year out at Planes of Fame in Chino, CA. As the text says "before her Trans Atlantic Flight", she's going to try to make it all the way this time (if you know her story that makes sense).
Keep an eye out for her to visit Duxford ?

She's a beauty. I saw her at the Oshkosh EAA a couple of years ago. They just did a beautiful job on her. Well worth taking a day off from work just to see her.

Glacier Girl and the whole Lost Squadron is an incredible story!
I cant wait to see her flying in the UK!
Hopefully it'll take her slightly less than 60 years to get here second time around!
If your not familiar with the story you'll be fascinated by

Hi Chuck,
I wish that she was still there in Middlesboro, KY to be honest with ya... I had made a few trips there during restoration and again on the day that they scheduled her first flight after she was completed. I'm glad I took video and pictures of the event. They sure done a nice job on the rebuild. I hope she makes the journey over to the UK.
Chuck, Rowan, Mike, Nigel, Andy -- if ya would like a few pictures of her, please PM me with your email addy, and I'll be happy to send them to ya.

Hi Penny
Having been lucky enough to witness the rebirth of a few Spitfires from the Airframe Assemblies hanger on the Isle of Wight, I can quite understand how you had mixed feelings seeing Glacier Girl depart. I'd love to see your restoration shots - I'll send you a PM straight away.
All the best
