The Dambusters InnPosted: Friday, March 02, 2007 - 01:19 PM UTC
Nigel Julian found a fantastic Pub for aviation enthusiasts. It's called the Dambusters Inn and is for sure a place to visit! Wouldn't it make the perfect meeting place for Aeroscale members?

WoW, looks like a great place for lunch or dinner.
The near by inns look like great places to stay over night on a tour of the UK. (Maybe making it over this or next year, and wishful thinking or future planing going on in my senile mind).

The old WW2 "Aviator Hotel" at Sywell near Wellingborough is another interesting place. I've stayed there quite a few times.

I've sometimes sat there having a meal whilst Helicopters, light aircraft and Microlights were buzzing around.

Nice one Nige.
Now what Nige forgot to put in the feature is that he is in this pub, morning, noon and night :-) . He hasn't cooked a meal in his new house yet :-) . He will never get any modelling done :-).

Theres a privately owned Harvard that does flights from Kent and also Sywell.
This is me in the back seat, taxiing to a halt at Sywell after a half hour of aerobatics 3000 ft above Santa Pod.
What a ride!
