hi all! well, i've nearly got this finished, and it is my first use of parafilm M to mask a canopy, and the stuff works brilliant (since this i masked and sprayed a sea king front canopy in around half an hour) so, i peel the film off, and it releases smoothly and easily, only to spot that i did'nt mask the small window above the bullet proof glass! i tried to scrape the paint off with a toothpick but no joy (its had at least 3 coats of paint, plus kleer plus mattcote!) it looks like i'll have to paint it silver.
hey-ho! its a learning curve is'nt it

Hi Phil
I'd try scraping it very carefully with a curved scalpel blade. As the area's so small, I think you'll get away with it without causing apparent scratching - and a coat of Klear will also hide any ill-effects.
All the best

hows it look now?
i scraped off a tiny bit at the side with a 11 blade, then used a cocktail stick to chip the rest off across. needs a bit of tidying up, but i think i've got away with it!

Nice job Phil!
It was certainly worth the effort - a small detail, but it does really make a big difference.

:-) i switched back to cockpit green (humbrol 78) and touched up as much as i could when the canopy came off, plus the wheel wells.
it just looks wrong in that grey. and i'll get it done in time for the bulldogs M.O.M.
