Hi,

I've been looking for info on invasion stripes for allied bombers and fighters. I can't find any real specs for them ( maybe i'm not looking hard enough..).

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the correct direction in relation to dimensions ( i'd prefer to stay away from decals.).

Thanks [http://put.url.here/image.file[/img]

18" on single-engined a/c, W/B/W/B/W, with the stripes starting 6" inboard of the roundels, and 18" forward of the tailplane, without compromising national, or serial, markings. To avoid balancing problems, the stripes would not, normally, have been painted on the ailerons. No mention was made of code letters, so, on some a/c., these were obliterated, with some Squadrons putting new ones on the nose, or fin. Twin-engined, and larger, had 24" stripes. Gliders were treated as twin-engined size.
