Mike Grant has come up with a very neat alternative way of applying that ball-breaker camouflage... the infamous Italian WW2 "Smoke Rings".

Thanks for reviewing these. Here are some pics of the model I used as a test-bed for the prototype sheet, it's the Hasegawa 1/48 kit built out-of-box.

I have the same Macchi kit awaiting to be built and would like to do this scheme, so this review is very timely.

After seeing these decals and reading the review, I'm going to try this kit again. The smoke rings were way above my skill level when I built my Macchi so I went with the solid version instead. Below is a picture of my attempt and disaster.
