Does anyone know what F/A-18 kit to reccommend to build as the blue angels??? I would like to keep it 1/72 scale so that i can also include Fat Albert. I have found a few kits but who's is the best? Hasegawa, Italeri, Hobbycraft or Revell/monogram???? Also any ideas for where to get decals for all 6 birds???
Thanks
Herky

Hi Jeremy,
I have not built a F-18 before but I know they use planes are retired from active duty. So early versions would work. I have been up close to the Blue Angels many times and can tell you that the aircraft are very well used. So don't be shy weathering the cockpit and landing gear.
As for tracking one down, try ebay, I seem to rember see a F/A/ 18 kit there, but it was a while ago .Hope this helps

Whilst not wishing to hijack this thread, I have a similar question regarding blue angels. I was hoping to do a large scale version using an academy 1/32 two seater for the number 7 bird. Im pretty sure there ar no decals on the market for that scale so would it be possible to scale up existing AM decals to 1/32 and print them or have them printed?
