Great model! I love the Luft '46 stuff! Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, is it just me, or does that seem awfully close to the XF-32? Thanks for your time.

Thank you MEBM!
Now that you mention it, it does resemble the X-32 a little bit. Now we know where Boeing got the idea from...no wonder they lost the contract!

It looks great - it seems like Boeing is just relaunching German work
Nice idea none the less and great painting.

Hi Jesper ... Böing is German .... muahahahahahha
err, well ... can' tell more ...
have a look at wikipedia: William Edward Boeing, son of the German Wilhelm Böing ... also. there was a fighter pilot in WW2 named Böing .. can't remember which unit .. might be JG 26 (he was not very successful in terms of a fighter pilot)
Les: nice model! though I do not like Luftwaffe 46 very much .. and what an ugly aircraft ....
cheers
Steffen
And no it is no Aprils fool

Thanks Jesper and Steffen!
Steffen,
I agree, this a/c is very ugly...no matter what colors it wears.

Les,
I was just over at the National Museum of the United States Air Force's Restoration hangar today and guess which aircraft I saw?
Yup, it was parked between the YF-23 and a MiG-23.
Couldn't tell what markings it carried though--most of the paint had been removed.
(No April Fools joke here either!)

Keith,
You are lucky to see one of those a/c, about as close as I will ever get to seeing it is my model.

Well, I couldn't get as up close and personal to it as I would have liked. And I didn't have a camara on me. But it was sorta cool. I was surprised to see it there, as well as the YF-23.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Or something to that effect.
I've been away for a while & thought it was April Fools.
