Hi Dave,
It was a fun kit to build, it took me about 2.5 years because all the scratch-built stuff i did to it. Thanks for the nice comments.

Ted,
I have been wandering around for a while. Recently began the Academy DAP and have been trying to get pictures, ideas, etc. for the build. Your kit is absolutely amazing!!!

I have been out of modeling for some time but it came back pretty well. I love to add as much as possible to a model and am completely stumped on scratch building. How did you scratch build the avionics and other items? Conversion kits sometimes do not have enough to satisfy my crazy thirst for realism.

Currently trying to get a hold of another Academy Blackhawk to open up the second engine bay and add a third seat to the DAP.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the nice comments. You definately need update stuff from Cobra CO. Chris's sets are unbeliebable. For the avionics wires i used
detail wire #DM1101 from Detail Master. For the fittings you can go to
www.racingminiatures.com sroll down to speedline click on that then on
1/24 a/n fittings. For some of the other scratch built stuff i used stripstyrene
from evergreen scale models. Hope that helps, if you need help with any thing else let me know.
Ted.

Beautiful work Ted. I love the details. I fly the hawk and this is a fine representation of one. Great build.

Looks great! Just curious as to what you have on the pilot seat? Is that cloth?
