An interesting article concerning how well the Buffalo performed in a dogfight with the Curtiss P-40B/C Tomahawk: Buffalo VS P-40 Dogfight

Thanks for that Fred!
Of course, I am somewhat biased in my opinion on this subject.

Thanks, Fred. Great description of the fight tactics.
The training the AVG pilots got was optimal. Fight your plane to use it's advantages; don't get into the opponent's areas of advantage. We forgot that lesson early on in Viet Nam. Lost a lot of a/c because the big Yankee Air Pirate was trying to slow down & dogfight a MiG 17. Thankfully, we re-learned that lesson & haven't had a reason to slip back into bad habits.

I need some help. I m building a huge P-40 warhawk, its a kit RC plane from GWS. The decals given were from the british version, US version and the Taiwan version. I was wondering what was the color of the aircraft during Pearl harbor? Which spray paint code should i pick from the Tamiya List.?Anybody can advice?
