Good afternoon, I normally build 1/35 scale armour, but wanted a change so decided to go through my stash. I found the 1/35 Italeri Super Cobra and thought I'd give it a try I am hoping to do an OOB but would like to know of any major pitfalls with this kit.
Thanks and happy modelling!!,
Darryl

Darryl,
The kit over all is good but lacks detail in the cockpit. i don't remeber the specifics but there are accuracy issues with the sensors in the nose as well. Armament is okay with rocket pods, bad representations of Hellfires , and TOW.
Hope that helps a little.

I disagree with Todd, sorry. It has plenty of details and an accurate cockpit. It is the same model as the Academy AH-1W, just with different decals. It represents an early W from about 1990 (ODS) time frame OOB. For a more up to date bird, you can get the Cobra Company NTS (Night Targeting System) upgrade which includes a new cockpit and nose section to include sensors.
It has no real issues and goes together well.
Good luck with it.

Gino and Todd,
Thanks for the replies. So far it is going together well with no major issues. This is a nice build compared to the 300 - 400 piece Dragon armor kits
Gino,
Any ideas where I can find some ODS paint schemes? Perhaps some side profiles? My aircraft references are pretty thin compared those of my armor
Thanks,
Darryl
