I am currently building a Beaufighter, which supposedly made an emergency landing on an airfield in Turkey during WW2. The RAF roundels were painted, and crescent-star was painted on the tail. It is most possibly an early production Mk. X without the rear gun. This is the picture, and I will build the plane in this picture:

I have found a profile drawing on the net, but it is completely unreliable in terns of many properties:

Now my question comes. This is most possibly a Beaufighter flying over the Aegean or the Mediterranean. What would be the best camouflage color choice for the plane? Were there Mk. X models painted in the desert (or Mediterranean) camoflage schemes (I hope there were), or do I have to paint the plane with the colors given in the above profile (green and grey- I hope not!)?

Would this question be more critical?: "Were the Mk. X models used in the Mediterranean or the Aegean?"

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
