Apparently also one with Normandy invasion stripes. That is quite a surprise to me. I did not know Avengers were used around Normandy....
Hope it helps...

Hi
Depending on your interest in technical accuracy, I know there a couple of visible differences between a US and UK serving Avenger. The British MkII is a tbm/f-1c equivalent but there were some changes made, such as the option for bulged waist windows in place of the flat ones on US craft. I don't have the specifics at hand but I am sure you could find the info on the net.
Cheers

http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/Aircraft/Tarpon_Avenger.html is worth looking at. The most significant operations by FAA Tarpons/Avengers was with the British Pacific Fleet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Pacific_Fleet during 1944 & 1945.

I have just got my hands on an old Hasegawa Tarpon in 1/72 so this is really going to help.
Cheers

Hi Mark,
RN aircraft of the Averger's (a.k.a., Tarpon in the RNAS) were painted:
"Extra Dark Sea Grey" ANA 603 Sea Grey
"Dark Slate Grey"ANA 613 Olive Drab
ANA 610 Sky
Here's a pretty valuable site: Fleet Air Arm (FAA)

They were based in Cornwall and used for anti-submarine patrols. Other Coastal Command aircraft such as Wellingtons carried invastion stripes as well as carrier aircraft in the Med that supported the landings in the South of France.

G'day,
For the TBF/M Avenge in RNFAA service, the cammo scheme is Dark Sea Grey (or Extra Dark Sea Grey) / Slate Grey over Sky - as per the pix below:
This particular cam scheme is from the old AeroMaster decal sheet, the colours I have used on this Acc Min's boxing (a ongoing build) are from the Xtra Color range of enamels.
Hope these help.

G'day,
Interior of the aircraft subject is the same as those flown by the U.S Navy and other countries at the time, which is called out in the instruction sheet.
Here are 4 scans from the 2x RNFAA Avenger decal sheets, of the old AeroMaster decal range.
Showing the range of cammo schemes used during their operational service.
Hope these pix are of help too all.

Hi Rob!
Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing...
Is the Accurate Miniature kit so good that you can paint it in sub-assemblies and then get it together without problem? Is there a reason why you painted it that way? I'm not curious, I just want to know!

Hi Jean-Luc,
Yes the Avenger kits are good enough to paint in sub assemblies without problems, which reduces the masking on wings and tailplanes.
The model subject has a main wing spar as part of the fuselage assembly and the tailplanes lock into each other, all of which flush fit into the fuselage cavities.
Hope this helps.
