..I'm aware there is a Pavla resin/plastic kit in 72nd ..anyone built it ?..what are the alternatives in this scale ..just Airfix and Matchbox...? Are they worth bothering with ....I'm actually hugely impressed with 72nd Corgi diecast which looks great ..but I don't want to go down that road if I can help it...!

The Heller is in my opinion nearly as good as the Pavla. Less interior details, no resin parts, but good external details and good general accuracy, and easier assembly than the Pavla. The Heller is MUCH better than the Matchbox, which in turn is a vast improvement on the Airfix, that you can forgot about...
Out of production, but look on ebay...

there's a Heller 72nd scale Gladiator currently on Ebay.co.uk - starting bid 9 GBP ..!!

the super new Corgi die cast retails for 19 GBP ...
