Testors and Italeri (using the Testors moulds) did a 1/48 kit and there are plenty of detail sets for it. Special Hobby do a 1/72 U-2S/ER-2 "NASA" and a TR-1. Also Airfix do the U-2A/C/D in 1/72. I have the Special Hobby TR-1 kit in my stash for when I finally get around to doing my "Skunk Works Series" of kits.

The U-2C is available from Testors and was reboxed bt Italeri. But they also produced the TR-1 in two versions. Tons of aftermarket from cutting edge for both types.

beware I've not seen the Testors kit but i've recently built a different model made by them and the detail was poor as was the fit of the parts. If boxed by Italeri it may be better but worth looking in the box first if you can.

Definitly look before you buy. I have the U-2R kit and the fit is good but the detail is pretty is lacking. However the dimentions and shape are good and considering the cutting edge accesories I got for it it should turn out good.

If you want to see what can be done with the Testors/Italeri 1/48 U-2, check out this three-part article.
