Only 6 days left to enter the April MOM. So if you have recently, this month, finished a model aircraft why not check out the rules and enter.
Make Grant (of Mike Grant decals fame, see ad on the right), has kindly offered to donate a kit to the winner. No excuses then

Just as a reminder (and an incentive), I'm offering as a prize EITHER the new Tamiya 1/48 F-16CJ:

OR the Tamiya 1/48 P-47M Thunderbolt.

The winner's choice of kit will of course be shipped to their address. As always, the MOM will be judged by the Aeroscale community. So as Mal says, get your models uploaded and good luck

I'm think of changing the rules so that I can enter
I'm afraid that the rules will have to be adheared to and there won't be an extension for late entries. To be as fair as possible though (due to time zones and such) I will close the entry gallery when I get home from work (about 17.30, by the time I can kick my daughter off my PC say 18.00 GMT) on Tuesday the 1st May. Of course if you don't make it by then you can always enter May's MOM

Hi Mal

I wasn't after a time extension, but i wanted to express that "must be finished in entry month" is a tough rule because of the above mentioned reason .... well, maybe I get my French Tiger finished (anyone know "Kung Pow" ... I must always think of that in connection with tiger ... and birdy of course)

cheers

"must be finished in entry month" is a tough rule

Well not really, if you finish a model it will be during a month, so that's the month that you enter it in. Alternatively, if you want to enter in a particular month, simply hold off finishing the model until that month starts There actually isn't much point in having a prize for the MOM (When offered by people like Mike grant and, hopefully, major model manufacturers), if the rules aren't strickly adheared to. Another example would be the rule on size of pictures, it isn't difficult to adjust the size, nor to read the rules. If this does take off (pun intended ) posting pictures over 700 pixels wide would mean disqualification

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about the rules please see the thread which I started for the purpose

Yes Carlos, that's the idea. Enter the campaigns and enter the MOM in the month it finishes
Sorry Steffen, I wasn't getting at you just that with the experience of the old MOM the rules will have to be enforced particularly, as I mentioned, if we want to attract more sponsors. There cannot be and will not be any cheating. The aim is to have a little bit of on line fun and get to see more pictures of model aircraft. If you happen to win and get a great prize into the bargain even better. So best of luck to all those that have entered, may the best model (or picture of) win. I'm just off to open the voting
Mal
