I have the Hasegawa F-16CJ and was wondering if I should sell it and buy the newer Tamiya one. Or is the Hasewaga one "good enough?" Thanks.

The hasegawa f-16 is more than good enough but I have seen the new tamiya one and it is definitly the best out there.

The Tamiya kit is definitely the better kit, but until it came along modellers were happily building the Hasegawa F-16s and producing award-winning results. If you already have the kit why not build it? it's still a very nice kit.

Just a question, how can we say that one kit is definitly better then another kit? Wouldn't one have to build any kit before we say it is definitly better.I mean quality kits like Hasegawa and Tamiya look pretty much the same in the box and on the sprues. If I'm answering which kit is better then I feel I would have had to built both kits and then be able to elaborate on the strong and weak pionts of each kit,any problems with fit, accuracy or construction problems, otherwise it's just popularity contest.Perhaps also I would say I had a good experiences with one company or another, but how can I know which kit is definitly better ?
Thank-you hope I don't sound difficult or sarcastic,it is not my intent, just raising a point

I read that the Haswegawa kit lacked a few of the more modern or correct F-16CJ features. One has to buy the resin "Big Mouth" intake and the data pod for "Wild Weasel" was considered too small in scale.
As such, since I now build very few aircraft, I'd like a kit where I can just slap it all together without having to worry about PE and aftermarket items to correct things.
The Tamiya F-16CJ also has the helmet-display and AIM-9X...of course being newer .
