Hi all,
I'm still working of getting my Hase Folgore pulled into something that looks like an airplane. I purchased Eduard's PE landing flaps and could use some help. Once the flaps themselves are built, is it better to:
1) Insert the flaps into the plastic wing prior to gluing the halves together?
or
2) Put the wings together as per Hase's instructions and then softly work the flaps into their proper position?
Thanks,
-Derek

Hi Derek
thats not so easy and IMO there is no best solution, that works for everyone.
1. I would cut out the hole before I glue the halves together (thought I have models where I decided late to cut holes ... nichts ist unmöglich)
2. depending on the construction of the flaps (I do not have this very set) I would try to glue the part that fits into the wing quite early .. but I would also try to attach the flap as late as possible to avoid damaging it .... not much help I guess
3. think twice or more before you cut and again before you glue .. it saves a lot of trouble and sweat
sorry, hope someone comes up with a more helpful answer...
best wishes

Thank you Steffen,
That actually helps quite a lot. Eduards instructions are not very detailed as to when during the build to attach the flaps. Your description of the process is perfect.
