Please, does anybody know what model is that of the picture below?
There is a long time I am seeking one of those, and I don't find any. I think it should be a rare kit.
I would thank any help.
Thank you.

This list of Aichi E13A Recon Seaplane kits might help. Strange how it hasn't been updated with the Nichimo re-release .

Thank you Steffen, I think the kit is the same.
Great, identified plane, now I will hunt him/it.

Thank you again,

Yep Andy, and being a so beautiful model it hasn't been updated by the other Manufacturers too. (I think)

Hi Gaucho,

Mine doesn't look as good as you example, but here is my Nichimo Aichi E13A. The cockpit was scratchbuilt because the model was motorized, the only interior being a slab of plastic to hold up the shoulders and heads of the crew.

This bird was built in 1982, painted with Pactra International Colors line of enamels. The nice thing about the model are the positionable control surfaces. Maybe the folding wings, though as shown, they are toy-like.

Basicaly, what you see is what you will get. The rear MG is awful (though the Nichimo B5N Kate's is pretty good).

Take note, it was built before I started doing much to fill and smooth seam lines--not the fine fit of the parts.

All the parts for the old girl are present, I just have to dig them out of storage.

Hi Fred,
I am liking the plane more and more, every time that I see it. You made a good work in the cockpit. If I get one, I will use your pics as example. I think with some effort, the kit can become a beautiful piece. As that of the first picture.
But, what did you make with your model? It seems that it is abandoned.
Cheers,
Ramão

Hasegawa released the aircraft in 1/72, it's quite old and came with a shipborne catapult. This is the kit as built by Stev Hustad:-

Hi Ramão,

Thank you for your comments. Jake is still a part of my collection, but the canopy and prop are off in their packing, probably because they need touch-up. Looking at it, I need to do something about the decals, especially on the bottom of the wings--yellowing. I will also clean up the radar antennas. Perhaps a bit more weathering.

This is one of several of my oldies that I am refurbishing. Soon, my Mania 1/72
Kawasaki Ki-48 "Lily" will be restored and posted.

Guys, as I said before, I think it is a beautiful model, even in 1/72 scale, like that The_Migrant showed to us.
Fred, I didn't get to see your Lilly
