Hello all. I'm making the leap into the WWI side of the hobby and will soon be building roden's 1/48 Se5. I use mainly tamiya & mm acrylics. What's a good match in those lines (if possible) for the undersurfaces (linen) and the upper WWI green?

Secondly, What are some good sites to ck into if I want to do a little scratchbuilding in the cockpit?

thanks in advace for any and all help

Greetings Tigebait;

You have come to he right place.

First, Modelmaster Acrylics for CDL try "Radome Tan" as a base color.

Second for the cockpit interior there is an image with a URL here.

The upper surfaces of British ww1 a/c were not green at all. 'Ww1 green' is a misleading name. The dope was called pc10 (pc=protective covering or pigmented cellulose) and it was dark brown. There was more green than red to it, but it was still definitely brown! Dark chocolade brown with a drop of green in it will do a nice pc10
