Well, I was gonna do the Albatros next after the Strutter, but decided to do a quick OOB build of the Toko Sopwith Snipe instead. It has turned out to be a relatively easy build so far compared to the Strutter. No pinched fuselage or large gaps to fill, and trimming and repositioning the control surfaces has gotten easier since last time. Now I just need to find a good rigging reference...

The following picture should be self explanatory:

Basically, I had the upper wing attached with the four center struts, and had begun rigging them when I realized that some superglue had gotten in one of the rigging holes. I was trying to redrill the hole when the center struts shattered and one of the struts was lost for good. Now I have to fabricate replacements, so now I will order some brass Strutz. Too bad with the speed of RollModels I will likely have to wait a month...

To be honest, now that classes have started again for me, between all this and work I will be fortunate if I muster enough time to get that Fokker Triplane done on time for the early bird contest...

To make matters even more difficult, I have joined the university newspaper so now I have to cover news stories for the paper. My schedule for this Thursday will be insane. I show up for the first class at 10:30, leave at 11:45, run down to the office to listen in on a conference call at noon, somehow manage to dash off a 400 to 500 word article about that call by 1:30, which is when the next class starts, get out at 2:45 and run back to the Student Union to cover the Faculty meeting at 3. On top of all this I am new to this so I don't quite know what the heck I am doing...

But perhaps once I get into the groove of things I can find some more time. I joined the paper late so I am playing catch up on productivity requirements for now.

I will eventually get that one done though. Too much work already put into it to discard it.
