I think that the 1900 - 1938 to be the most interesting. era.

Consider these - the variety of aircraft designs, one, two, three wings, the advances and the dead-end designs, the Great War, zeppelins, the aircraft carrier, barn-storming, wing walking, bush-flying, airmail , Al***** and Brown, Lindberg, 'Wrong Way Corrigan", Howard Hughes, the Red Baron, Billy Bishop, Amelia Erhart, Amy Johnson, Glenn Curtiss, Alexander Graham Bell, Wright Brothers, Bleriot, and the new mediums of radio and film to capture it all.
