Welshmodels have released a Boeing 777-2ZN in 1/144 scale Skyliner series, this release features the livery of the airline Lauda Air.

Welsh Models well known for their range of multi media civil and military multi engined aircraft have announced their future releases in 1/144 and 1/72 scale. What a fantastic list of types to be released. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the 1/144 Boeing 777, De Havilland Canada DHC-7 in PAN AM Express livery and the 1/72 DC-9-30.

The industrious folk at Welsh Models have another new release in the offing, which is currently with the resin moulders. The new release will be the de Havilland Dash 8-300 series.

Following on from their successful 1/72 release of the Comet I, Welsh Models are to release a 1/72 Comet 4C and the military version the C4. The kit is currently being readied for moulding. Welsh Models have released images of the pattern parts, which make up the kit. Hopefully the kits will be released in the new year.

Welsh models new releases are a Belgian AF Boxcar in their line of 1/144 Military Transport Series and a BOAC Comet 4 in their 1/144 Skyliner series.

Welsh Models next release will be the Boeing 737-200 in Ryanair's 'Jaguar' livery. With a wing span of 15.5 inches [39 cm] and a length of 16.5 inches [41.9 cm], this will be an impressive model. This being the 200 series it has the Pratt and Whitney JT8D engines, which were phased out because of the environmental concerns of this type of engine.

Future new release (in the next two weeks) from Welsh Models, the prolific outfit from South Wales is the De Havilland Dash 7 in London City Airways Livery. The airline was one of the first companies to fly out of London City Airport, when it first opened. The Airline closed in 1990.

Welsh Models well known for their range of multi media civil and military multi engined aircraft have announced the future release of their latest kit in 1/144. This time it is the C130J C Mk4 Hercules in RAF service. Externally similar to the classic Hercules in general appearance, the J model sports considerably updated technology. These differences include new Rolls Royce AE 2100 D3 turboprops with Dowty R391 six bladed composite scimitar propellers. The updated electronics has meant a reduced crew requirements [two pilots and one load master, there is no longer the need for a navigator or flight engineer].
