Four new Tiger Moths (1:72)
AZ Models have released four boxing of the famous British biplane trainer – the DH-82A Tiger Moth.

AZ Models continues their „spruce and linen” series of 1:72 scale model kits. Their another release is French floatplane - Morane „WR”.
1/72 A trio of Kikka’s (1:72)
AZ models has just announced the release of three versions in separate boxing’s of the 1/72 Kikka jet fighter. The Kikka was Japans first foray into jet powered fighters. Only the first prototype flew just before the end of the war. The operational markings are purely hypothetical.
AZ Models has announced the release of a gaggle of 1/72 Spitfires on their website. There is one release of the Seafire 46 and three releases of the Mk IX. There are some interesting markings including a natural metal finished Spit operating in the MTO.
AZ Models has announced the release of four new kits including two Warhawks kits in service with American units and two kits of the Kittyhawk in service with Commonwealth and RAF squadrons.
AZ Models has some great subjects marked down as future releases to look out for. The subjects spanning almost the history of Aviation from the Breguet Br.14 to the Jak-40.
On the AZ Model website we have just found four new sets of 1:72 scale Spitfires of the less popular Mk.VII and Mk.VIII variants.
Once again in this week we have to support our news reports with the stuff found at the Modelimex hobby shop. Company have published some boxarts, decals and sprues of the two latest AZ Models releses which are 1/48 Heinkel He 70's.
1/48 Gotha G.V - AZ Models (1:48)
On the Modelimex website we can find few photographs of the 1/48 scale Gotha G.V model kit in the AZ Models boxing.
AZ Model have announced three spruce&linen early monoplanes: two French Moranes and a German Pfalz.
Legato have announced the release of two separate 1/144 kits of the Yak-40. One boxing sees the little three engined Yak in civvies, the other boxing is for Yak’s in Uniform. The latter includes marking for an Angolan AF aircraft. Now you don’t find Angolan AF markings in a kit release very often.
AZ Model from Czech Republic have published few interesting pictures of their latest release which is Morane Saulnier M.S. 406 "Battle of France" in 1/48 scale.
1/48: SAAB J-29 Tunnan (1:48)
AZ Models have announced the release of a 1/48 plastic injected SAAB J-29 Tunnan. The Tunnan has been listed on their website for some time now and it's great news to see it finally released. AZ Models have also released images of the new 1/48 kit on their website.
1/48: AZ Vultee Vengeance (1:48)
AZ Models have released photo's of sprue shots and images of the built model of their forthcoming release of the 1/48 Vultee Vengeance Mk I and II.
The Dassault Super Mystère the French built fighter bomber, was the first Western European supersonic aircraft to enter mass production. AZ Models are releasing the Super Mystere B.2 in four packagings: the Dassault Super Mystere powered by a Pratt & Whitney engine. The SNECMA Atar powered Dassault Super Mystère, both in Israeli Air Force markings. The other two releases are B.2's in French AF markings. One of the French B.2's has spectacular markings from two Tiger meets.
AZ-Model are releasing a 1/72nd Spitfire L.F.Mk.Vb, and a couple of MiG 17's.
1/72 Buzzard's from AZ. (1:72)
AZ Models have not released any images of the plastic for the Martinsyde F.4 Buzzard, but they have released possible marking choices. The Polish Buzzard looks pretty spectacular with it's pyjamas on.
AZ Models have released the first image of their 1/48 Heinkel He-70, that will be hopefully released in the near future. The image shows the beautiful shape of the wing and the unusual way the wing roots have been created. It will be interesting seeing the AZ He-70 develop.
1/72 Supermarine Attackers. (1:72)
AZ Models have announced the release of three different boxings of the Supermarine Attacker. The Attacker is certainly not the best looking aircraft ever to come from the drawing board of the Supermarine factory, but still a distinctive one. How many operational jets do you know with a tail wheel? Apparently the jet blast made quite a mess of grass airfields.
An interesting bulletin from Legato Models who are responsible for AZ Models. They are announcing a new series of models, which they call the ''Silver Line''. Here is their announcement:
1/72 Bücker Bü-181. (1:72)
AZ Models are to release a 1/72 plastic injected kit of the rather delightful Bücker Bü-181. There will be two boxing's, the first being a Panzerbücker, there are three different sets of markings in Luftwaffe service. The second offering is the one I am looking forward to, the Bestmann. There are five very different sets of markings, that I would find difficult to choose between as they all look fantastic. I would be tempted if I had the money to buy six kits and build Bücker Bü-181 in all of the markings supplied. Would look great on the shelf.

AZ Models have released photo's of the masters for their forthcoming release of the Mitsubishi C5M / Ki-15 Babs. The Ki-15 was the army designation for the Babs, while the navy designated it C5M. No date so far on the release of the two kits, but we will let you know as soon as we have it.
AZ models have released sprue shots and box covers of their forthcoming releases of the Hawker Hurricane MkIV. The MkIV saw the last major change to the Hurricane, which was the introduction of the universal Wing, a single design able to mount two 250 lb or 500 lb (110 or 230kg) bombs, two 40mm (1.57in) Vickers S guns, drop tanks or eight 60 pound RP-3 rockets. Two .303in Brownings were fitted to aid aiming of the heavier armament.
AZ Models have announced a number of future releases of the Mig 17 including the Chinese derivative, the Shenyang F-5. There have been interesting users of the Shenyang F-5 including 4477th "Red Hats" Test and Evaluation Squadron of the United States Air Force. So hopefully if AZ don't come up with some interesting decals, some of the after market decal companies will.
1/32 Arado Ar-96B / Avia C-2 (1:32)
AZ Models have released images of the masters for the forthcoming release of the Arado AR-96B / Avia C-2. But first for my benefit as much as anything a short look at this aircraft as I know little about it, being a jet junky:

I don't know, you turn your back for one moment and two more gems from the world of rotary winged aircraft appear. This time in the form of the Hughes MD-500e and the Hughes MD-500MD. These delightful if somewhat mean looking helicopters in 1/72 are part of AZ Models two kits in one box offer. These played two of the baddies in that classic film Capricorn 1. There is that classic chase involving two black painted Hughes-500 chasing Telly Savalis in his red crop duster with Elliot Gould in the front seat! Classic stuff!
AZ Models have announced the future release of three bi-planes in 1/72. One is to be the Vickers Vilderbeast Mk III and there will be also two versions of the Fiat CR.32. No release dates as yet, but I will bring you more details when I have them.
