HI J-L Well, as far as I know the Zvesda kit is N O T short run ... I will hopefully know on friday, but I probably cannot inform you, as I will drive southward on sunday and I still have a lot to pack for my move..... best wishes Steffen

Hi Steffen It certainly doesn't look short run from the pictures. In fact it looks rather like a Gavia kit in terms of moulding quality, but with South Front-style rivet detail. I'm really looking forward to it, but unfortunately Petr has heard that it won't be available to him for a couple of weeks. Good luck with your move and here's to your job! All the best Rowan

I was talking of the South Front La-5 kit which I ordered... sorry for the confusion. Jean-Luc

There's already been one inbox review at hyperscale from a few weeks back. LINK It's definately not short run anyway. In fact i have their 1/72 Junkers 88 and the quality is excellent on that one- not the detail of the Hasegawa kit...but half the price.

Many thanks Rowan, Jean-Luc and Andrew. Now I know for sure it is a great kit! don't you have it already? ... it is a great little kit, even if this is true short run quality (especially interior and fit) cheers Steffen P.S. Thanks for the good wishes Rowan .. they helped last time

Hi Steffen! Lately I was more concentrated on building kits than buying some more... Jean-Luc

Hi all I got the kit yesterday and it is great. On first inspection i would rate it as on par with the big manufacturers. The surface has a slight texture, which I like for colour application but some may want to polish the parts. On a closer look I found 2 or 3 slight sink marks on the fuselage, which can be worked to a stressed metal effect or removed or left allone (it is not that serious ... in my kit). The panel lines are sharp and evenly deep. You also get some rivets which are a little heavier than in the SF La-5 .... approx as in the eduard Fw 190. You get a full interior with cockpit, engine and guns. A friend is already in the building process and he said the interior does not fit the fuselage. Well, a slight mistake may lead to this or it is a fault of the kit. I will have to test this myself. Sorry, no time for pictures, but I guess Rowan or J-L will jump in soon. best wishes Steffen

Hi Steffen Thanks for the update. It sounds like a great little kit! I won't receive mine for a couple of weeks, but I'll cover it then if no-one already has. All the best Rowan
