The figure comes in 2 parts and depicts a standing pilot carrying a parachute pack. These parts are packaged in a sturdy clear plastic blister pack, protected by a piece of foam.
They are cast in grey resin and do not exhibit any visible flaws. There are 2 small casting blocks that will need to be removed but cleanup should then be minimal. I have to say that the level of detail and quality of casting is superb, everything being pin sharp.
A colour rendition of the figure is printed on the inside of the packaging as a painting guide.
Conclusion
It really is testament to the art of the miniature sculptor and I can't see any reason why this figure could not be used with other 1/48 scale aircraft, for example, a P-51.

Quite puzzling
A P-47 pilot?
Does that exist? with other words, did every plane have its own outfit for the pilots? I did not know that the air force, and aircraft manufacturers were into fashion
