History
The CBU-100 Cluster Bomb (also called the Mk-20 Rockeye II) is an American cluster bomb which is employed primarily in an anti-tank mode. It weighs 490 pounds and carries 247 Mk 118 Mod 1 bomblets.
The anti-tank cluster bomb is an air-launched, conventional free-fall weapon. The Mk 20, CBU-99, and CBU-100 are used against armored vehicles.

In the box
Packed in Eduards familiar Brassin packaging, the 12 resin, one small photo etch fret a set of instructions and a small set of decals are securely held in a sandwich of foan packaging in the plastic blister pack.
The bombs are one piece and are cast to Eduards usual high standard. Each bomb has a casting block attached to the rear of the bomb body, and should be easy to clean up.
A small P.E fuse impeller attaches to the rear of the bomb body. The nose has a moulded on arming fuse, for when the bomb is armed and ready to be used, and Eduard supply a nose protector for each bomb for when it is inert. The moulded on arming fuse will need to be removed if you wish to depict the nose protectors instead.

Decals and instructions
The instruction sheet folds out to a postcard size sheet with the part placement shown as one picture. The front of the sheet has the stencil decal marking guide. The main body colour is given with Aqueous and Mr Color paint numbers.
Construction looks fairly straightforward with the only the care of removing parts from the pour plugs to be the most challenging part.
The small decal sheet has the stencils for each missile. The decals are well printed, in register and look to be quite legible.

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...

Andy, I have my eye on a few of Eduard's loads sets. They look fantastic, and they're very reasonably priced. Joel

Great to see detailed Rockeyes in 1/48. Downside is that the markings provided show live/yellow striping but the included stenciling says "INERT"
