Eduard has released this interesting color photo-etch set, No.# 49330 to upgrade your 1/48th MH-60G Pave Hawk interiors and is designed to use with Italeri 1/48th MH-60G Pave Hawk, kit No.# 2621.
The set will correct and add many of the parts missing in the interior from the cockpit and rear cargo wall. The package contains three frets full of photo etch details and a easy to follow five page instruction sheet. As an added bonus, the fret with the instrument and control panels are in color. It gives you a break from trying to paint in those knobs and dials. The dash instrument panel comes in two pieces, it gives the dials that look as if they are set into the panel. The instrument panel is also printed in an "on" condition - with the displays illuminated. The set contains over 180 pieces, many being very small especially the PCL, fuel and fire handles around the overhead console.
Other interior details include, pilots shoulder and lap harness, ruder pedals, cockpit bulkhead, side armor protection panels, which can be displayed fully extended or closed, and Come-Along winches and straps that hold the 185 gallon fuel bladder to the aft cabin wall.
The detail set is geared more for the advanced modeler as many of the kit parts have to be cut, filed/ground or removed. I would also suggest having Mission Models Etch Mate to aid in bending some of the smaller pieces.
Eduard also has a exterior photo-etch set to further detail your Pave Hawk No.# 48516 priced at $22.95 and a Express masking sheet which carries a canopy masks that allows you to accurately cover the clear parts for easier painting, and masks for wheels and other clear parts as well, No.# XF190, $4.95
Thank you to Eduard for kindly supplying the review sample.
