The parts
In a little bag you have two impressive main wheels and one little tail wheel. I say "impressive" because I'm not used the seeing parts in 1/32 scale. They are a lot bigger than 1/48 scale and this size allowed Signifer to go very far into details! As you can see on the pictures, everything is nicely rendered and will look very realistic under a nice paint job. The tread pattern is crisply done and you can almost feel the weight of the plane on the rubber tire. The rims are perfectly reproduced in the smallest details. The tailwheel is also included, which is nice as the kit's one is also made of vinyl.
One word about the tread patterns on the wheels as they are different than the kit ones. I've checked in my references and found three different ones on Grumman's plane: Trumpeter's, Signifer's and one version with stripes. I also found pictures of Avenger tires without treads at all. This makes four different options so check your references! But if you just want to go for the nicest, choose those made by Signifer as they are really the best looking ones from an aesthetic point of view...
Conclusion
If you don't like to work with vinyl, or if you are not convinced by the tread pattern of Trumpeter's 1/32 Grumman Avenger, then Signifer's replacement parts are made for you! Crisply done, detailed and very realistic, they will do justice to this fantastic model. The price can seem a little high, but this resin kit is a noticeable improvement over the original parts. Your model will certainly benefit from these!
Signifer's Avenger wheel set is available direct from the manufacturer for 9,50€ (Europe) and 7,94€ (overseas).
