Roy Sutherland has added a very useful set of Mosquito stencil markings to his range of BarracudaCals. In fact the items included go well beyond pure stencils, because you’ll also find cockpit placards, instrument faces, plus the dials for radio sets.
The sheets are already available in three major modelling scales, with one more to follow, priced as follows:
Roy has kindly sent samples of the available sheets and the quality is excellent, with the content and layout constant across the scales. The decals are custom printed by Cartograf, so it’s no surprise that the printing is pin-sharp, with minimal carrier film on the thin glossy items. The instrument decals are printed as two layers, so you can overlay the markings for the dials etc. by eye to ensure perfect registration.
The instrument decals are based on full-sized references rather than sized for any particular Mosquito kits – all of which might have slightly different interpretations of the panel. So, as Roy points out in the well thought-through instructions, you’ll get the best results by separating the items and applying them individually.
Barracuda Studios’ comprehensive set of servicing stencils and other markings will be a boon to anyone tackling a kit of the Wooden Wonder.
Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.
