by: Andy Brazier [ BETHEYN ]

Introduction
Eduard are one of the most prolific producer of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, with resin, photo etch and Brassin (resin and brass etch) upgrades released on a monthly basis.

This release for a set of rockets coincided with the EduArt boxing of Hasegawa's P-47, titled Dottie Mae reviewed here.

In the box
Package is typical Eduard Brassin, with the contents in a black top opening box with the resin parts in a resealable bag which is cushioned in-between two layers of foam. The photo etch fret is sealed in its own bag with the instructions wrapped around the parts.

The rocket set comes with ten resin parts, and one fret of photo etch.
The photo etch holds the straps for the rocket tubes, and must be bent around main bodies, which could prove a little difficult for beginners. The fret also holds the mounting frames that attaches to the underside of the wings.

The rocket tubes are cast in threes of which there are two sets. These are cast in a dark grey resin and are well done and straight with no sign of warping.
The rear of the tubes have inserts for either loaded or unloaded tubes.
The last parts are the connectors to attach the tubes to the P-47. Holes will need to be drilled into the underside of the Jug for mounting the rockets.

Instructions

A small 2 page instruction sheet is supplied which covers the build sequence, what there is of it, and the positioning of the tubes on the aircraft.
Colours for the Aqueous and Mr Color paints are given for the tubes, which are basically Olive Drab.

About Andy Brazier (betheyn)

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...

Comments

Thanks, Andy, these look better than the kit parts on the Trumpy Jug.
