Review
This kit from VideoAviation.Com is cast in a tan resin. The parts are well cast with good detail, including the surface of the trailer with nice looking anti-skid plating. There is no flash, and once off the casting plugs, only a little sanding is needed to clean up the parts for assembly.
It does allow the assembly of the trailer in different configurations, with the center folding panels cast seperately. Hence you can build a flat top trailer for general use, open the panels for larger bombs and missiles, or mount the racks to carry smaller missiles.
The instruction sheet shows a very straight forward assembly, with very clear steps. Unfortunately there is no painting instructions, other then the image on the front of the box. Also there are no markings included in the kit.
The actual assembly is also very straight forward. After cutting the parts off the plugs, a little sanding, I used thin CA to assemble the trailer. The fit is very good and the trailer assembled quickly. The kit from VideoAviation.Com builds into a very nice looking MHU-12 trailer.
Overview
Overall this little set from VideoAviation.Com will allow the builder to create two very nice looking MHU-12 trailers. The resin casting is very well done with good looking details, and allow the trailer to be built in multiple configurations. What is missing is painting instructions and decals for warning labels. For anyone looking to add a little more interest to displaying your aircraft, I would highly recommend this set from VideoAviation.Com.
