Introduction
Grass-Flock 12 mm - Brown 40 g from Model Scene is a new product for dioramas and layouts. Model Scene categorizes it as extra long. Six colors are available and the other 5 have been reviewed across the various sites here at KitMaker Network.

Model Scene, in the Czech Republic, produces landscaping materials for model railroad layouts or dioramas. Many of their products are handmade so each piece is unique. Models available include trees, ground cover foliage, leaves, wooden fences and laser cut precise details. Model Scene advertises their product range as appropriate for scales (model railroad scales in parenthesis):

* 1:32 (Number 1 Gauge) / 1:35
* 1:45 / 1:48 ( O scale)
* 1:72
* 1:87 (H0 scale)
* 1:120 (TT scale)
* 1:160 (N scale)

Among the Model Scene product line of mats (foliages) are:

* Grass mats Standard line
* Ground cover foliages - Premium line
* Grass mats with calc stones
* Forest base
* Turfs line

Grass-Flock 12 mm
Model Scene packages it in a zip-lock bag, held inside a light weight plastic carton.

The grass is stiff and doesn't float away like some static grasses. It is easy to pinch a tuft and then scatter it. Brown is dyed a rich dark brown.

Scale
How high is 12 mm of grass in scale? To demonstrate it in all its glory I glued it and zapped it with my static shaker. Then I posed it with a 1/48 Ki-100 and a 1/72 Pfalz D.XII, and figures in 1/35, 1/48, 25mm, and HO-1/87. Otherwise, the sizes are:
    1/24 = almost a foot

    1/35 - 16 inches

    1/48 = 22½ inches

    1/72 = 3 feet

    HO = 3½ feet

    TT = almost 5 feet

    N = over 6 feet (elephant grass, Kunai Grass)

Obviously, this grass can be mixed with shorter grasses or those of different colors.

Conclusion
Extra Long Brown Grass-Flock 12 mm is a good product for modelers who need thick stands of grass. It is easy to use and you get a lot - 40 g - inexpensively. My only concern is that although I'm not a herbatologist but this brown seems too rich.

This is good tall grass for modelers who need ground cover higher than scale shoes. I like it and recommend it.

Yeah wow, that colouring is terrible. I guess you could tone it down with an airbrush.

Awful coloring notwithstanding, this material definitely has possibilities. Thanks for posting this!
