CMK have released three useful packs of brass chain in a selection of sizes that will have many applications across the whole spectrum of modelling genres.
The packs are labelled "Coarse", "Medium" and "Fine", along with a suggested scale for their use - this being 1:35, 1:48 and 1:72 respectively. Of course, the scales are purely nominal, and you might find the same size works equally well, say, hanging off the belt of a largescale figure as it does on a vehicle or railway kit, hoisting out an engine in airfield diorama, or representing the anchor chain on a small ship model.
Each pack contains a single 30 cm (1 ft) length of chain. Priced at 2.70 Euros per pack, the chains are very affordable and will be useful accessories to keep handy in the workshop.
The current sets are: H1013 Coarse - each link is 2.8 mm x 3.8 mm H1014 Medium - each link is 1.8 mm x 2.2 mm H1015 Fine - each link is 1.2 x 2.0 mm
Conclusion
CMK's brass chains are well produced and will be very handy, whatever genre you work in, whether it's for scratchbuilding or detailing.
