Fantasy Printshop have released a new set of 1:32 decals for the F-4C Phantom II in their Euro Decals range.
ED-32125 contains decals for an aircraft that participated in the 1976 William Tell weapons meet:
F-4C s/n 63-666, 57th Fighter Interceptor Sqn., Iceland Defence Force, USAF, Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland.
The aircraft sports a classic SEA scheme with 3-colour topsides enlivened by chequerboard surfaces and "William Tell" markings on the drop tanks.
As we've come to expect from Fantasy Printshop, the decals are beautifully produced with pin-sharp registration and minimal excess carrier fiim. The items are thin and glossy and, based on previous experience with Fantasy Printshop decals, I'm confident they will be excellent in use.
The decals arrive on two sheets, with the larger one containing the chequerboard markings. It's easy to forget just how big the F-4 is in 1:32 until you see the size of these tail markings! What's really nice is that the sheet also provides a very useful supply of spare strips of chequerboards, so there's no worries about mishaps. The second sheet contains national insignia and markings specific to the featured aircraft.
The decals are accompanied by a nicely illustrated sheet of instructions, with colour profiles and plan views, plus a colour chart with FS codes and matches for Humbrol, Xtracolour, Xtracrylix and Lifecolor model paints.
Conclusion
This is another excellent quality decals set from Euro Decals, and the resulting model will be both classy and eye-catching.
