Introduction
Signifer continues to expand its range of aircraft diorama products in 1/32 scale with a nice USAF Starter Cart. This small equipment was used in the 40' and 50' mainly to start airplane engines but also to save battery power during maintenance operations. It also served as power generator in places where there was no electrical source.

The Kit
As usual, Signifer's new product is presented in a little plastic bag with a color picture of a completed and painted model. The kit is composed of one highly detailed grey resin body, two grey resin wheels and several parts cast in brown color. Several wires of various sizes and material (copper, lead, brass) are also included, as well as two metal rods of which one was already bent to shape.
The resin parts are flawless and of Signifer's usual high standard of quality. Everything is crisply molded and I found almost no air bubbles, thus only a small amount of cleaning will be required on the parts. However, you will have to be careful when handling them, because the brown resin ones seem to be rather brittle and some are very small. The main body is a master piece and I'm still trying to figure out how M. Meissonnier (owner of Signifer) did the silicone mold to cast the resin! Doing a similar item in injected plastic would have certainly required to glue 20 separate parts together.
A small A5 sized instruction sheet is provided with an assembly guide and pictures of a completed model. The instructions are very precise and show you how to use the various wires for example. Some placards are also present on a small decal sheet to enhance realism.

Conclusion
This is another fine little kit from the French manufacturer Signifer and I highly recommend it to people who are searching a nice accompaniment for an U.S. WWII or early 1950 aircraft.
