Introduction
If you never used a sheet of masks made by Eduard (or any other company), you should know that they are mainly meant to cover the areas of clear parts (canopies) before applying the camouflage colors. By using masks, one can achieve a finish that is far superior than the result one would achieve with a brush.
Of course it is possible to cut masks oneself, but this is sometimes very difficult when the canopy frames have a complex design. In the case of Japanese WWII aircraft, it is often the case, so Eduard's set of masks can be very useful.

A6M2-K EX272
This small sheet has been designed for Hasegawa's new 1/48 scale A6M2-K trainer model kit. With the masks provided, it is possible to cover the complex glazings of the trainer version of the famous Zero fighter. Additional masks are provided to cover the wheel hubs.
Instructions are printed in B&W on a small A5 sheet of paper.

Eduard's 1/48 scale A6M2-K masks sheet is available from Eduard

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here on AeroScale.

Hi Jean-Luc not commenting the reviews, but again you forgot to mention the scale in the forum post subject line. Someone asked this a few weeks ago and I must say that I would prefer this too. Rowan wanted to add this to the guide line but probably forgot about it. Thanks! all the best Steffen

Hi Steffen I've renamed the thread. Jim is also looking at adding the scales automatically on the Frontpage reviews list but, as ever, he has quite a list of technical suggestions to work on. All the best Rowan

Hi Rowan I just wrote J-L a PM. I do not want to stir your Aeroscale /Kitmaker - staff routine. But as it was brought up recently and you were quite open to the issue I wanted to add my thought. I meant all review and feature posts. This may bee a bit annoying, but as I only build 1/48 scale it would be a bit more comfortable for myself. OTOH it is of course interesting to have a look beyond one's own nose .... sometimes but I prefer to choose if I want and am not forced to do. Just my 2 ct ... all the best Steffen P.S. thanks for the fast response and work (renaming the thread). I know I should write it more often but you (and the staff) are doing a very good job!!

Hi again You'll have noticed it's what I've been doing for my What's New posts where appropriate since the suggestion. Thanks for the reminder to add a guideline for the others in Aerostaff. All the best Rowan

Hi Steffen, Thanks for the reminder, I forgot... and thanks to Rowan for adding the scale in the Title. However, I'm not sure we should do this for Features or On Displays. I mean, if the model is nice to look at and the text informative, it's not important if the subject is 1/48, 1/72, 1/32 or 1/144 scale. Or... Jean-Luc

Thanks Jean-Luc! It is just a matter of personal taste and while I think it is most helpful for reviews threads (i.e. necessary) it is just a nice addition for the built features ... As you know I only build 48 scale and sometimes a nice build model can motivate me to start an own project so I like to know in which scale a built model is, when I open the thread.... (or not open it, if it is in the "wrong scale") Thanks for your nice reviews and your patience with my special wishes! all the best Steffen
