Spitfire Mk.VII conversion set
Brengun is a new brand from Hauler creator Jan Sobotka and some of the references already avaiable are destined to aircraft models.
It is the case of this conversion which will allow you to transform Hasegawa's 1:48 scale Spitfire Mk.IX or Mk.VIII kits into a Mk.VII by incorporating a new resin nose chin, new resin wing tips, an additional resin intake for the cabin air compressor, a new photo etched rear cockpit bulkhead, a PE structure to hide the cabin access door and new rails for the canopy hood. The quality of both the resin and etched metal parts are excellent.
Instructions are provided which explain the modifications to be done, including filling some panel lines. However, the conversion is not very complicated to achieve and will only require a minimum of work.
Conclusion
If you want to have every Spitfire variant in your collection, this simple conversion by Brengun will allow you to add the Mk.VII in the line. It is destined to the Hasegawa kit but it should work with every Mk.IX kit (ICM and Ocidental). Recommended to Spitfire fans.
Other references for 1:48 scale Scale Spitfires models are already available such as Late version exhausts or gun barrels (see accompanying photos) but also bombs and fuel tanks. Check them out at the
