The casting is excellent - the only flaw I could find on the review sample was one small bubble which will be hidden by the seat after it's installed.
The detail throughout is simply superb and the parts are a huge improvement over the Roden originals. The seat features a very nice moulded-on harness, while the rear bulkhead and floorboards are excellent, with some really fine detail.
This is quite a complex set which will require some care in preparation. The "sidewalls" are very thin and must be trimmed to leave a delicate framework which replaces Roden's clumsy and innaccurate detail moulded inside the kit fuselage halves.
The instructions are excellent, with detailed drawings showing the position of the mass of small parts. Colours are indicated on most of the diagrams along with a comprehensive set of painting notes.
The one point I would question concerns the instrument panel; the instructions indicate that this is varnished wood. As far as I can tell from my references, this maybe applied to export machines (e.g. Swedish & Finnish) which featured a panel with the instruments arranged differently. The one supplied in the set is RAF-style with a recessed blind-flying panel and appears black in photos.
Conclusion
This is a superb set which completely surpasses the detail offered by Roden's kit. It's maybe a bit complex for beginners, but careful assembly and painting should result in a real show-stopper. Highly recommended.
