Kinetic has issued a very good model of the Grumman S2F Tracker. It has excellent surface detail, excellent molding, excellent choice of separate detail parts, and excellent decals (See the RELATED LINK: URL below in the SUMMARY box to view the review). The very visible cockpit could use a little help and here is a P/E set to enhance it!
The Set
You get a colored set of quality P/E. The set is made by Eduard. The instrument panel is two-part: the back with the printed sharp instrument dial detail, and the front part with the open bezels. With slots in both to insert the kit control columns, lining the halves up should not be too difficult.
The secondary console fits under the panel. A quartet of red handles affix to it.
The kit completely left out the accessory console that extends out from the panel to between the seats. This fret creates that console; approximately 8 bends will be required to create it. Then a beautifully busy panel sets upon it.
Overhead is the powerplant console. It is completely void of detail in the kit. With 11 P/E pieces it is brought to life with a pair each of throttles, propeller controls, mixture controls, and whet I believe are the emergency prop feathering handles.
Finally the spartan kit seats receive the seat belts and harnesses the crew needs for safety.
Conclusion
This is a simple set that should pose only minor shaping challenges. The detail is great. It will certainly enhance Kinetic's already excellent model S2F. Highly recommend.
