The Parts and Package
This arrives in Eduard’s now standard package of a reseal-able slip bag with clear windows front and back to allow viewing of the photo etch parts. All this is protected from bending by two card sheets the same size as the bag which also sandwich the instructions.

The photo etch parts which are designed for the Kinetic kit are spread over two sheets with the larger on one sheet while the other contains the smaller parts, the sheet with the larger parts contains 50 parts plus two templates, while the other sheet contains one hundred and sixty six parts. Most of the parts are replacements for panels plus some nice looking wiring harnesses and cylinder plates for the engines, Replacement front and rear plates are included for the under wing rocket pods as well as replacement plates for the sonar buoy launchers built into the rear of the engine nacelles. As would be expected the aerials are not left out neither are the windscreen wipers, a couple of parts replace the plastic parts that due to injection moulding technology cannot be moulded thin enough.

The two templates will make it a lot easier to place all the tabs on the tail surfaces, there are sixty four of these in total that will need to be placed. One nice touch I thought was the inclusion of the reflector for the searchlight and the lamp although the lamp looks like it will require some careful work being made of three parts and being very small.

The Instructions
These are to Eduard’s usual standard being printed on two sides of a letter size sheet and are clear. Although careful study is required as some parts do not stand out with a first glance, I found that after a second study I had identified all the parts but that may just be this reviewer.

In Conclusion
This set should with care enhance the look of the Tracker, by replacing over thick kit parts and adding those parts missing from the kit. This detail set is not suitable for the beginner with all the small parts.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.

Ok, firstly I build what ever takes my fancy however I mainly build 1/350 WWII era ships mainly cruisers and any aircraft. However my favourite aircraft being the mighty Beaufighter, Sepecat Jaguar, Hawker Hunter, Fw-190 and the Su-27 family. I also like wheeled armour like the Stryker and Centauro ...
