Contents

This new 1/72 release from Pavla provides two very detailed resin Martin Baker MB Mk.1T-10F ejection seats as fitted to the Aermacchi MB 339 trainer. The two seats are packed in a transparent resealable bag. Unfortunately the overhead activation cords were knocked off in transit, but they can very easily replaced. The seats are one piece and have the harnesses cast onto the seats and back cushions. Attention to detail is very good with crisp detail including pipe work, harnesses and buckles. The drape of the harnesses looks very realistic and the subtle undercut around the edges of the harnesses will make painting a lot easier. Pavla have captured the busy look of the seat very well
There are no painting details so either use the kit instructions that the seat is intended for or have a look at the excellent martin baker website for further details.
The seat is attached to a casting block, which needs to be removed.

Conclusion

This is an excellent rendition of the Martin Baker MB Mk.1T-10F Ejection Seat and anyone thinking of building the Italeri 1/72 Aermacchi MB 339 jet trainer should consider acquiring one.
SUMMARY
Highs: Superbly cast with excellent detail. They will significantly improve the office of the Italeri kit.
