Vac formed canopy for the AZ Models kit

by: Tim Hatton [ LITESPEED ]

Pavla Models has released a closed canopy for the 1/72 AZ Models Mitsubishi Ki-30 Ann. The long greenhouse canopy features some fine framework and very clear plastic.

Contents

The Pavla Models vac formed canopy is contained in a plastic bag, which is seems good protection as there are no scuffs or scratches visible on the surface. The plastic is not wafer thin and feels robust, which is good news when the time comes to trim off the excess plastic. The clarity of the clear plastic is very good indeed. The shape of the canopy looks very good and the frame work is nicely defined around both the windscreen and the canopy. The Pavla canopy does not feature the slightly obvious step at the rear of the pilots canopy that is seen on the AZ plastic injected canopy and as a result he Pavla canopy looks much more realistic.
There are no instructions with this release as this is a direct replacement for the kit part.

Conclusions

This is a very fine looking replacement canopy for the Ki-30 Ann from AZ Models. The clarity of the plastic will allow you to see all that lovely detail in the office.
