by: Tim Hatton [ LITESPEED ]

Pavla Models has released a one piece clear plastic vac formed piece for the cabin windows and windscreen of the 1/72 AZ Models L-200 Morava.

Contents

The Pavla Models vac formed canopy is contained in a plastic bag, which is seems good protection as there are no scuffs or scratches visible on the surface. The plastic is not wafer thin and feels robust, which is good news when the time comes to trim off the excess plastic. The clarity of the clear plastic is very good indeed. The shape of the glazed areas looks very good and the frame work is nicely defined around both the windscreen and windows. The windows and windsreen stand slightly proud of the surrounding plastic so that it will fit into the gaps for the windows in the kit. The great thing about this release is that it replaces the multiple clear plastic parts of the kit. I don't have the kit to hand so I cannot comment on how the good the fit will be. You may be able to see some slight pin marks in the roof of the cabin, these will be covered over by the kits roof.
There are no instructions with this release as this is a direct replacement for the kit part.

Conclusions

This is a very fine looking replacement windows for the Let L-200 Morava from AZ Models. The clarity of the plastic will allow you to see all that lovely detail in the cabin of this four seater aircraft.
