History

The history of the Albatros D. type fighter has been recounted at Aeroscale previously and need not be brought up here. It is a known concern that main stream injection model based models are simplified in design to ease the production of a kit and is limited to the technology of the time.

Resin based companies are not as limited to the concerns found in plastic injection moulding. Note the varied deminsional surfaces in Barracuda Studios recent re-release of their Albatros Seat in 1:48

The Parts

BR48011 Albatros Seats with Belts
Two detailed resin seats with seat cushion and molded in seatbelts designed for all Albatros fighters. Why fight with bending and gluing photoetched seatbelts? Simply paint and install for a very realistic seat with naturally draped harness. Will also work for many other German WWI aircraft.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE

Hundreds of 1/72 scale Revell and Airfix kits later my eyes started to change and I wanted to do more detail. With the advent of DML / Dragon and Eduard I sold off my ...
