Ozmods is a company located in Queensland, Australia, specialising in resin upgrades for vatious aircraft mainly with an Australian flavour.
Recently they released an update set for the Italeri 1/72 Hercules C-130J kit to correct the emgine nacelles, spinners and blades. I have not got the kit yet so I can’t comment on their accuracy or lack there of.
After releasing the correction set Ozmods have also released a jig to enable you to align the propeller blades in the correct feathered position used by the C-130J aircraft whenever it is parked. The blades of the kit props are not in the feathered position so even if you don’t buy the correction set you can still use the jig to align the blades after you cut them off the plastic ring they are moulded to.
The instructions show how to modify the Italeri C-130J to represent the stretched C-130J-30 as used by the RAAF. As the C-130 has a fairly even fuselage where the plugs are needed it shouldn't be too big a job to stretch the fuselage, but I am not sure how easy it would be to add the various 'lumps and bumps' required to accurately represent the aircraft.
As you can see from the photos this jig makes it very easy to correct your propeller blade position with a minimum of hassle.
