Aero Line is Plus model’s line of aircraft addons and various other cool items. Here we will be looking at their recent MiG-29 pilot release. The MiG-29 was a Soviet late cold war multirole fighter. So this figure could be presented with one of the many versions of MiG-29. ( There’s a wide choice of nations too, since the Mig-29 served in more than 30 Air forces.
Item comes in a nice clear blister style packaging backed with foam to secure no damage during shipping and transport. Backing paper also features a nice art work which can serve as a paint guide too.
The Figure is a single casted gray resin piece, attachments are very well designed to make the clean up and sanding minimal. There are almost no seam lines, just a few minor ones that should be removed without any problems with a sharp blade. Dimensions look spot on and the sculpting is amazing. It features quite a few creases that will help the painter achieving color variation since the suit is in overall yellowish color. The pose is also very nice, It’s not over dramatic or boring, something many manufacturers fail to capture. ( left hand in his pocket and oxygen hose in the right). I’ve tried searching online and through my references but I haven’t had much success finding any pictures of 80’s Soviet pilot uniforms apart from one drawing that identifies the suit as a Lightweight summer flight suit (link will be below).
So I would conclude that this piece is a very nice addition to any diorama or just as a companion to your model on a base, recommended.
