About HARV
I have been in the modeling hobby off and on since my youth. I build mostly 1/35 scale. However I work in other scales for aircraft, ships and the occasional civilian car kit. I also kit bash and scratch-build when the mood strikes. I mainly model WWI and WWII figures, armor, vehicles, artillery and horse drawn equipment. I like American, German, Russian and Commonwealth subjects. I prefer to work with styrene and I try my best to avoid resin and photo-etched brass. I am also interested in WWI and WWII small arms. This includes everything from handguns to heavy machine guns. I am very interested in WWI and WWII defensive positions such as trench systems, flak towers and bunkers. A favorite subject of mine is captured equipment. I really enjoy studying about items that have been captured and used against their former owners. This includes everything from handguns to heavy armor. I also enjoy studying about field modifications that have been made to equipment and vehicles. I have several other areas of history that I enjoy as well. These are; pirates (old time, not modern), plains Indians and the plains Indian wars (my mother's side of the family is Sioux), Old West & Turn Of The Century Outlaws (my Grandfather Harvey was one), 1920s-30s Gangsters, Civil War Ironclads and the Zulu Wars as well as World War One and World War Two.
