About Jacques
The first model I remember building was a glow-in-the-dark P-38, running around my bedroom in the dark flying it, and stubbing my toes. I do a lot less running around with glowing models now. I mainly focus on 1/35 armor and figures, with Modern Russian military vehicles being my favorite. I also build kits professionally for collectors. I served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1991-1999 as a 13F (forward Observer) and as a 63D (Tracked Vehicle Recovery Specialist) with a final rank of E-5. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. John's University (Mn). I have worked as a Microbiologist for several large Medical Device Companies, a Biological Technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a stay at home Dad, and now as a Junior Scientist for the University of Minnesota Wild Rice Breeding Project. And my wife is a Presbyterian Minister. With 3 kids, time is in very short supply to build models, but I find my ways.
