About Smoke86
11 years of service in ARNG: six traditional (M-Day) and five AGR. Served years as a Fire Support Specialist/NCO (13F) in HHB 1-86th FA, Williston Vermont. Served as FS Specialist, COLT Team Chief for 1-172nd AR and Company FSNCO for A Co 3-172nd (Mountain) Infantry from 1992-98. During this time I attended Johnson State College and The University of Vermont and graduated with a BA in English (as demonstrated by my total reliance on spell check). 1998 was hired into AGR system and served as Company Supply Sergeant for CO B (MAINT) 186th FSB, 42DISCOM until 2002. In 2002 I transfered back to 1-86th FA as a Howitzer Section Chief/Training NCO for Bravo Battery 1/86th FA, were I am currently serving as 1st Platoon Sergeant/Readiness NCO. I've been modeling since the age of 8 of and on for the last 23 years, taking a huge break from age 12-24 to work on my NBA carreer-NOT SO MUCH! I started out on 1/72 airplanes and chopers and model rockets. In 1998 while attending an MOS reclass course I built Italeri's 1/35 M109A2 kit and was hooked on doing AFVs and have been ever since.
