About bf443
About me I started building models at age 5. The first was an X-3 Stilleto, I remember using to much glue but it was my first model airplane! I primarily built aircraft and had a really nice (in my mind) collection until my sister's cat decided otherwise. During and after graduating high school in 1984 modeling took a back seat. I slowly returned in 1991 with aircraft and armor models. My current career is Captain with the Eagle Fire Department (www.eaglefire.org). I started JAC Hobbies (www.jachobbies.com) in 2008 to serve model builders with a simple online shop with a nice variety of kits and decals at reasonable prices. I have had the pleasure of serving customers not only in the US but around the globe. I can also place special orders for items as well. My goal is to know the business inside and out and devote myself full time when I eventually retire from the fire service. For other fun I own 1943 M-29C Weasel Tracked Utility Carrier, 1944 Ford GTB (Burma Ford) and 1956 American LaFrance open cab Pumper.
